Then suddenly, the creature withdrew its tendrils, pulling out of Red as suddenly as it had entered him and he found he was just grateful to be able to breathe. He didn't dare ask what happened, but he supposed that perhaps, the creature just hadn't been good enough. He gave his limbs an experimental tug and found he was able to free his arms and legs from the sticky form of the creature.

He wondered for a brief moment if it had a name, but he didn't really have time to wonder. Red hit the sand hard as the creature spat him out, almost in distaste. For a second, the phrase missing number danced around his head as he shakily raised his head. He was just in time to see the creature sinking back into the ocean, bubbling indignantly. Red guessed he really had blocked it out.

It was then that he noticed that he was a mess. He looked at himself- he didn't notice at this moment, that his hands and feet looked faintly pixellated around the edges. He did notice, instead, that he was covered in an oily film, sand and his own cum. He did notice that he was bleeding, that he ached and was developing a migraine and he did notice, finally, that he stank of the sea.

Making sure that the creature had completely disappeared, he submerged himself in the sea and managed to at least initially clean away some of the grime that covered him. It was enough until he could get home. Not bothering to get dry, he pulled his clothes back on over his pained body and sent out Charizard, heading home.

His mother asked, concerned, what had happened and why he was so dirty. He gave her a dismissive answer and took a hot shower, washing away the disgusting evidence of everything that had happened. So it was all so that missing number could possess him and take his place, huh? It seemed to Red like a lot of effort to go to. His worries, though, seemed to wash away with the hot water and the residual tinkling of the song in his mind.
